Jay Patel, M.D.

JayPatelDr. Jay Patel completed both his Child/Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry training at East Carolina University. His specialty training allows him to treat the full range of mental health concerns in children, adolescents and adults. Dr. Patel collaborates with other therapists including psychologists, counselors, and clergy in addition to other health care providers such as pediatricians, primary care doctors, gynecologists, neurologists and nurse practitioners. Also, when seeing children Dr. Patel works alongside schoolteachers, tutors and family to provide optimal care in the context of the child’s environment. Treatment options he offers include comprehensive diagnostic assessments, medication management, individual psychotherapy and maintenance treatment.

Jason Machalicky, M.D.

Dr. Jason Machalicky completed both his Child/Adolescent and Adult psychiatry training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is experienced in treating the full range of mental health concerns in children and adults, including (but not limited to) depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders,  attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (AD/HD; ‘ADD’), disruptive behavior problems such as oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) and conduct disorder (CD), post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia, psychosis, and autism spectrum disorders to include Asperger’s. He has worked with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, residence facilities and the emergency department. Dr. Machalicky uses a comprehensive approach to evaluation and treatment taking into account the biological, psychological and social factors affecting the individual and their family. Treatment options he offers include medication evaluation, medication management, individual psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), family therapy, parent coaching and play psychotherapy.
