Charlotte believes that life’s challenges are opportunities for growth and self-discovery. She views therapy as a journey where clients can explore their strengths and values in a supportive environment. Recognizing that seeking help takes courage, she creates a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel heard and understood. Her therapeutic approach draws from a range of techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, play therapy, parent coaching, and collaborative problem solving. Throughout the therapeutic process, she integrates evidence-based approaches including positive psychology and the science of wellbeing, tailoring strategies to the unique needs of every client and family. Charlotte is also trained in the Community Resiliency Model (CRM), which is closely connected to Somatic Experiencing as both approaches focus on using body-based awareness to regulate the nervous system and build resilience, particularly in the face of trauma or chronic stress, by teaching individuals how to track and respond to physical sensations within their body, essentially taking a “bottom-up” approach to healing rather than a purely cognitive one.
Charlotte provides therapy to people of all ages. She specializes in child, adolescent, and young adult mental health, as well as families especially with regard to parenting issues. She is well equipped to support challenges for all ages such as anxiety of all kinds, depression, stress management, eating disorders, behavioral acting out, social skills, attention concerns, autism, and learning disabilities (including dyslexia), to name a few. Charlotte collaborates with families through parent coaching and behavior problem-solving, focusing on prevention, skill development, and supporting generalization of new skills and habits. By integrating tools including play therapy and psychoeducation, she helps children develop social awareness, build interpersonal relationship and communication skills, and enhance emotional regulation. For teens and adults, Charlotte supports them through life transitions, social anxiety, mood issues, academic pressures, etc. She empowers her clients with coping skills, executive skills, and emotional resilience, fostering confidence to face personal and academic challenges. Charlotte also has specialty training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders, and in Emotional Eating, Chronic Dieting, Bingeing and Body Image.
