Erin Piechocinski, Psy.D.
Dr. Piechocinski works with adolescents navigating a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. She recognizes the unique demands of adolescence, including the development of autonomy, physical and emotional changes, and shifts in parent–teen relationships. Her work with teens emphasizes helping them feel heard and understood while also encouraging accountability, skill development, and positive change.
Her approach considers the broader systems influencing an adolescent’s functioning, including family dynamics, school environments, and social relationships. Dr. Piechocinski collaborates with teens and their families to identify areas of concern, strengthen coping strategies, and support healthier communication and emotional regulation.
In addition to therapy, Dr. Piechocinski has extensive experience conducting psychological, psychoeducational, neurocognitive, and forensic assessments with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Her assessment work addresses areas such as emotional functioning, executive functioning, suicide and self-injury risk, intellectual and adaptive abilities, personality functioning, behavioral concerns, and diagnostic clarification.
Through a structured, problem-solving approach, Dr. Piechocinski focuses on understanding the root causes of difficulties while supporting individuals and families in building insight, distress tolerance, and adaptive coping skills. Her work helps clients develop a clearer understanding of their emotions and behaviors and apply skills that support long-term functioning across settings and stages of life.
